One Man's Trash

Here's some stuff I like. Maybe you'll like it too!

Here's my third project, using audio from the second project. I've embedded it for easy watching, but even on HQ Youtube's compression looks pretty bad. If you want the best quality video, get it here (316 mb.)

In-class project with Vojta

Vojta and I put this together in two hours in class. We were given the sentence "Francis enjoys walking his snake by the river underneath the bridge alongside his consciousness." as a starting point.

Doing this project reminded me of this animation. It's pretty impressively done.

Here's direct links to my second AVA262 audio project. I recorded clips for the project with an Olympus digital voice recorder and composed it in Sony Vegas. Right click and save target as.

All three of these made me tear up

Every day, Obama gets 10 letters from the average American to read. Here's a link to a few examples. There's a link to the full story there explaining how the 10 letters get picked from a pool of tens of thousands.

I also didn't realize that the one surviving Somalian pirate was sixteen years old.

Here's a slideshow of a Taliban ambush narrated by the soldiers involved.

Batman

If you click through, mouseover the red button for an extra panel. Then hit random a few times just to see some more SMBC.

Sandbox

Check this game out, you can do some cool stuff. Play on a wacom if you can. Start by changing the brush size to 32 (the maximum) and turning off the four sources (bottom right options, click through to 0.) Be careful about drawing at the bottom edge as it's easy to accidentally select a new tool. Now fill the screen with wax, then change the brush to size 2 and write your name with the Torch in the wax. From there go nuts.

Fire burns plants, napalm, oil, melts wax. Water makes plants grow. Concrete hardens into walls. Sand mixed with water looks cool. A spout is a permanent water source and a well is a permanent oil source.
